Síle na Gig

The Síle na Gig is the embodiment of female wisdom, sexuality and sovereignty. 

In a recent dream I witnessed myself shapeshifting into the energy of Síle. 

Sitting in front of a mirror, legs and lips spread, peering into the magic and mystery that is the womb. 

I awoke to the palpable energy of her tingling within my cells. Her dream whispers were felt. Her soul was seen.

This was a dream of remembrance. Remembrance of the innate power that I and every woman possesses. 

We embody the wisdom of all the women who have come before us. They sing melodies through our DNA, guiding us home to our delicious, indestructible force.

This was a dream of reclamation. Reclamation of the knowing that beyond everything, we are unshakeable. 

Our place of power in this world is sometimes unrecognised, but deep within our bones, we feel it. We know it in our deepest depth. This knowing is housed in the soul-place that invites us in to sit on our throne and breathe the sweet scent of sovereignty, which rises from the wild gardens of our heart. 

In these times more than ever, amidst the heated speculation around our reproductive health, we women must remember that we have the ultimate ownership of our beings. 

We have sovereignty over every part of our reproductive system. 

We have sovereignty over our menstrual cycle. 

We have sovereignty over every single cell in our body. 

We women, we are the embodiment of creation. Our creative force cannot be destroyed. Nobody, no thing, can take that away from us. 

It is time to awaken our inner Síle and harness our power as women of the earth.

Head held high, heart open, legs spread.

We are fertile. 

We are ripe. 

WE ARE LIFE FORCE.
