Inner Fire

As we descend into the depths of winter, and the quiet presence of the fog draws you closer to those parts of yourself that can only be seen in the darkness of night, remember your inner fire.

Allow it to illuminate the trail forward, as you are called to strip yourself of those familiar parts that cling to you like a second skin, but constrict you in moments of potential evolution.

Only in their dissolving will you see that they were shackles.

The dissolution may be painful. You may not feel ready to release what stirs beneath the frozen lake of thought. But grace will gift you the strength to recognise that it is time to let go.

It is time to call upon your inner fire, allowing it to rise from the root of your soul like a dragon, breathing flames upon the icy waters.

These parts are with you for a reason. They have served you in staying safe, in staying comfortable, in being who you believe yourself to be.

Fish them from the water with delicacy. Release them to the earth with a blessing. Trust that space is now being created for a gift that is in alignment with your truth.

Beyond any sadness, shame or rage, feel that dragon blowing life force  onto the embers of your heart.

See your inner fire blaze.

Hear it rising like thunder from the depths of your being.

Catch the scent of excitement on the wind as you prepare for what is to come.

Through your surrender you help clear the debris of old.

Through your dissolving you come closer to meeting your deepest desires. Already flowing through your veins, they can be felt like a spark rising from a piece of crackling wood within the heart.

No matter how dark the night, allow that spark to be your lighthouse.

Tend to your internal fire and allow it to tend to you.

Bask in the radiance of your eternal flame.
